Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (plus extra for rolling)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 24 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375F (190C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together peanut butter, butter, and both sugars until smooth.
  3. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend dry mixture into the wet mixture.
  6. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in additional granulated sugar.
  7. Place on prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
  9. Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
  10. Allow to cool completely on wire racks.
