Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend dry mixture into the wet mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
